USAV Town Hall: The New Workspace

Another USAV town hall is in the books and it was again, very successful. We continue to receive positive feedback from our network of integrators. The amount of collaboration unites our group to collectively find solutions to present issues. This week we discussed what the “new-new” workplace looks like when we return to the office including wearing face masks, taking employees’ temperatures, social distancing, and ensuring limitations with the on-site workforce. Another topic was how technology will play a role and whether you need to create or implement policies dictated by building owners. After some initial group discussion, we broke into “virtual rooms” and discussed in further detail our thoughts and opinions. Once we had a chance to participate in smaller groups, we recapped the discussions in the main group setting. It became evident some of the commonalities among the discussions.
A few highlights:

  • There is not a single solution that will work for the new normal

  • Thermal camera solutions - PSA Security has 6 vendors that sell thermal solutions and details will be shared shortly

  • We will see a lot more hybrid spaces that allow people to participate in a physical room and remotely, so we need to become masters of hybrid spaces

  • There are new COVID-19 design plans that are starting to enter the market

One of the many advantages to USAV is the collaboration between members, these town halls continue to demonstrate how connected this group is. Please send us some topics for future town halls and be on the lookout for more specific ones geared towards sales leaders, operations leaders, and others.
