Our team offers a variety of experience, knowledge, and personality making us well equipped to deal with nearly every situation. Most importantly, we believe work should be fun and we strive to incorporate that mentality into our everyday activities.

Michael Boettcher
President

Michael Boettcher brings more than 20 years of experience in system integration in a wide range of roles and responsibilities. He has held departmental management, regional leadership and multiple corporate positions overseeing general management, sales, operations and service. Prior to joining Edge in 2022, he served as president of global VC – US division of New Era Technology.  

During Boettcher’s tenure, New Era Technology was recognized as a Top 50 Systems Integrator by SCN and recognized as an Industry Leader by Commercial Integrator. New Era also received AVIXA’s elite APEx certification for industry excellence.   

Boettcher is the former president of NSCA and has served on its Board of Directors since 2014. He also served as DAC Chairman for Edge and is an AVIXA member with a Certified Technology Specialist (CTS) designation. Boettcher holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Villanova University and played baseball for the Wildcats.

Patrick Whipkey
Vice President

Patrick C. Whipkey is the vice president of Edge. Whipkey directly impacts the success of Edge by cultivating relationships with integrators, manufacturers, service provider partners and associations within the network, as well as managing programs and collaborating with the management and executive teams on the overall strategic vision of Edge. Whipkey brings over 19 years of ProAV industry experience serving the commercial and residential sectors. He joined the Edge team following 10 years with IMS Technology Services, an Edge integration group member company, where he held multiple roles, most recently serving as the director of project management.

When he is not working, Whipkey enjoys spending time at the Jersey Shore with his family. He and his wife, Meghan have three daughters: Kayleigh, Callahan ‘Callie’ and Maura. Together they enjoy raising their children, the beach, riding their Wave Runner and good ole’ family time.

Cheryl Walton, who has 16 years of experience in the AV industry and most recently served as a regional account manager at Herman Pro AV, will focus on expanding communication and support provided to Edge integrators as well as driving membership growth as Director of Business Development. Walton spent 10 years at Kramer Electronics US where she held various sales management positions and worked with the industry’s top integrators. In addition to her years of experience and CTS certification, Walton is also an active member of the AVIXA Women’s Council.

Walton resides in Flemington, NJ with her 2 dogs, Harper and Rocky.  She loves running and most outdoor activities and spending time with her family and friends.
