InfoComm 2022 Recap

INFOCOMM is BACK! The USAV team made their way to Las Vegas, Nevada, last week with many colleagues and friends. We started off with a few receptions Tuesday afternoon and ended the night at Exertis Almo’s welcome reception at Hard Rock Café. Exertis Almo never disappoints, from the bacon and bourbon to Michael Jackson, it was the party to be at. It was a great first night to catch up with friends making it feel like a big family reunion.

USAV started off on the North Hall show floor Wednesday morning with a packed schedule. We made our way to USAV’s signature partners booths, Exertis Almo, Sharp/NEC and Liberty AV. We also saw USAV’s summit partners booths, Windy City Wire, Draper, Sony and ADI/Herman. To sum up the north hall there were plenty of displays and disti’s and a lot of cool, new products and technologies that we saw from all of our partners.

Wednesday night we moved over to the Brooklyn Bowl for an incredible event. This year we partnered with NSCA and it could not have worked out any better. USAV along with a few other AV partners each had their own dedicated space within the Brooklyn Bowl. This allowed people to mix and mingle very easily. Our event alone had over 150 attendees. It was great to catch up with old friends and even meet some new ones as well.

Thursday morning, we were back at the Las Vegas Convention Center but this time in the West Hall. It was all things audio and unified communications, which was a nice change from everything we saw on Wednesday. We started out the day with a USAV signature partner Legrand AV and continued the day with the last of our USAV summit partners, Shure, QSC, Huddly, Jabra, Avocor, Netgear and Harman. There were once again a lot of cool new products and technologies on display from our USAV partners. The booths had great traffic all day, and I was impressed by the amount of overall attendance. It seemed more crowded than the 20,000 people reported.

Just like every Infocomm, by Friday we were exhausted but also energized with all of the great energy that surrounded the entire show. Great things are being done by some great people in this industry and this show was just one example. We’re looking forward to Orlando, Florida, in 2023!
